Game Analysis:

Wow I can’t believe it is already time for the second major golf event of the season, the PGA Championship. Oak Hill in Rochester NY will be hosting their 6th major at that course, so let’s get into some best bets and break down this sweet tournament so you, dear reader, can hopefully responsibly make some cash.

So first overall I think we should talk about trying to find some value on an overall winner. Now as we all know, momentum and form in golf matter so much. Scottie Scheffler seems like the obvious choice, but there is a reason for that. He is, simply put, dominant. He is a co-favorite to win this tournament, and as us gamblers like to say, Vegas always knows. He just shot 20 under in Texas, finishing three strokes back from the lead. Scottie has been dominant as of late and for every single tournament is a threat to win. I think he is worth a sprinkle, especially in this major. You can get him for around +750 right now.

Now for this next pick, I thought I would look for a more sneaky value play. My man Jason Day has been playing some good golf recently. Golf is all about current form, and he just won outright the AT&T Byron Nelson, beating out players like Scottie, Adam Scott, and Si Woo Kim. I expect him to carry some of that stellar play into this Major Tournament, and you can get him to finish in the top 20 golfers at plus money. I absolutely see some value on that, so I like Day to finish in the top 20 at +115. It’s not a crazy sexy pick, but I think it’s a good one.

Now I’ll give you one more. You have to hear me out on this one though because it is a long shot. This player withdrew from last week’s tournament with a wrist injury, but is playing this weekend and has a chance to complete his career Major Grand Slam with a win come Sunday. Mr. Jordan Spieth is expected to be healthy, rested, and ready to go this week and I think he will come out of the gates hot. He is sometimes known to start well and fall apart down the stretch, so I think a fun hail-mary play that probably won’t hit, but would result in a nice payday if it did, is Jordan Spieth leader after round 1 at +3500. This is by no means a lock, but might be a fun little sprinkle to make Thursday exciting.

These are my picks, remember to tail at your own risk and always always gamble responsibly. Never wager more than you can afford to lose.
