Game Analysis:

Yuuuuuup. It’s time to feed the beast in New England. The Patriots have just signed their new bruiser back and he is going to get fed in this upcoming preseason game in Green Bay. The preseason is all about letting the new guys get their touches and get used to the offense, and when that new guy is a seasoned back hungry for another contract like Zeke? Oh baby that’s gonna be fun to watch. Plus, the best thing the Packers have going for them is that they’re young, and youth is only exciting because of its promise. Give me the Pats in this preseason game.

The Packers will be a fun team to watch this season. They have a first-year starter in Jordan Love who has just spent years studying under one of the best QBs to ever do it, Aaron Rodgers. If nothing else he’ll at least have a good idea of what the coaches want out of him. However, he isn’t Aaron Rodgers and he isn’t throwing to a ton of elite talent. Sure, Christian Watson will put up fantasy numbers in an offense that has no other weapons in it, but that’s about all he’ll do numbers in. They have two different running backs that have both established themselves as true NFL talents, and I couldn’t even name their WR2. I think a bunch of guys you’ve never heard of will end up getting snaps for Green Bay in their game against the Pats which can only mean they’ll be even less strong than they are with their starters.

The Patriots have a bunch of new guys that they’ll want to give true looks at and with the success of Malik Cunningham you could even see Mac Jones get some looks under center in this game. Ezekiel Elliot is a big player to add to the preseason roster because he’s a great player with NFL experience that is going to need to get snaps to quickly get used to the Patriot’s offense. In a lot of ways, he’ll look like a man amongst boys in these next two Patriots preseason bouts. I also love the fact that they have a new top-tier tight end in the mix in Mike Gesicki. He’ll also be looking to get snaps with this new offense and between him and Zeke they’re are gonna be some bonafide starters in the mix.

The Patriots will be utilizing a whole lot more of their starters, and in general, are a better team. Bet on New England and get your own Friday Beers merch!
