Game Analysis:

The Cubs and the Giants both have around the same wins and losses right now. Both of these teams have been playing extremely mediocre this season and will be competing for a wild card position. October baseball is one month away so now it is time for both of these teams to shine to show that they belong in the playoffs.

With Gabe Kapler running the Giants organization, who knows how this series is going to go. Despite his eye candy, Kapler is arguably one of the worst managers in baseball. He doesn’t know when to pull pitchers or pull them out when they are throwing a complete game. Despite Kapler being a numbskull, the Giants roster is filled with a ton of rookies that have big potential for the next coming years. Patrick Bailey looks like the new Buster Posey, Kyle Harrison had 11 K’s in his second game ever, and Wade Meckler is the next Hunter Pence.

The Chicago Cubs will be hosting the Giants in this three-game series. This brings high hopes to the team and to the fans because there will be more energy at good ol Wrigley Field. Dansby Swanson, Cody Bellinger, and Yan Gomes better show up in this series if they want that wild card spot. The Giants don’t have a huge depth for pitching, so If the Cubs get the bats swinging in the first couple innings, it will be good news for them.

These games will be close, especially with October baseball around the corner. Each team will be fighting to the last few games and whatever happens in this series will likely determine who gets that wild card spot and who actually wants it. In this three-game series, I would favor the Cubs to win although the Giants have been hot lately.

The Cubs are a team looking to make a run in the playoffs. Bet on Chicago and get your own Friday Beers merch!
