Game Analysis:

Man has Dana been blessing us recently. UFC 292 was absolutely unreal with Sean O’Malley taking home a belt and UFC 293 should prove to be right up there as well in terms of excitement. A solid undercard with names like Tuivasa, Volkov, dos Santos, and more headlined by a title fight where Israel Adesanya will look to defend his belt against the challenger Sean Strickland. Here is what you should know to make the most out of this sweet offer.

Man is Sean Strickland a crazy good fighter, but also just kind of crazy overall. His interviews are comedy gold and the dude just says some outlandish things. In the octagon, however, he is as scary as they come. While Izzy has a couple of inches on him in height and reach Sean is a big dude with more mass than Adesanya. His takedowns are brutal and effective which gives him a great advantage over Israel who has been known to struggle a bit if the fight really goes to the ground. After a career filled with wins, Strickland had his first career back-to-back losses last year. Despite some struggles, Sean has already won two main event fights this year and is looking to make it a third this weekend. He does land more significant strikes per minute than Israel but less efficiently. Will his ground game be enough to win him this fight?

If you ask me I would say no, and Vegas agrees. Izzy is a huge favorite in this fight and for good reason. He has only been beaten twice in his illustrious career, and only ever in championship bouts. Adesanya has beaten some of the best fighters in the UFC, and I just don’t think Strickland has the pedigree to take him down. Izzy is taller and can keep Sean at bay with his superior reach which should help him avoid the ground and pound. Israel is one of, if not the best strikers in the world and I think he will be able to pick Strickland’s defense apart and wear him out little by little. While there might be some value on Strickland’s moneyline, I don’t think he will win but Izzy’s moneyline is just so steep.

This should be such a good bout. Bet on either fighter and get your own Friday Beers merch!
