Game Analysis:

I don’t wanna hear any of it. All those folks out there saying that LSU is finished don’t know what they’re talking about. LSU still has a real chance of making the college football playoffs and there is no way that they are letting Mississippi State stop them. I don’t care that Mississippi State is the team that is undefeated coming into this game and I don’t care that LSU looked bad against FSU. They still could’ve won that game if a few plays went their way, and that FSU team they lost is looking real. Much more real than the measly Arizona and SE Louisiana wins that Mississippi State has picked up this far into the season. I don’t care what their records say. LSU is a better team. I’m taking LSU.

As I stated before the only one of these two teams who has played a real opponent is LSU, Mississippi State has had two gimmes so far. Even though Arizona is seen as this ‘solid college sports school’ if we’re being honest with each other, they’re only great at hoops, their football team has been lackluster for years. And Mississippi State still only managed to beat them by a single touchdown. If LSU had gone up against SE Louisiana and Arizona State both their score differential and stats would be through the moon. Against these weaker opponents starting quarterback Will Rogers has only posted 389 passing yards, which is less than Shedeur Sanders has in one game. He’s also managed to get sacked 3 times already. I fear for what this LSU Tigers defensive line may do to him.

The LSU Tigers showed why they should really be the favorites heading into this matchup in week two. Yes, all they did was beat up on an opponent who was worse than them, but that 72 to 10 scoreline really does speak for something. And even though the Tigers record is currently worse than Mississippi State’s their players have looked so much better through these past two games. Starting quarterback Jayden Daniels has put up 615 yards and 6 touchdowns which is more than 2-0 Will Rogers in both categories. Receiver Brian Thomas Jr has also gotten off to a hot start, with 220 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns across the two games. Just because this LSU team was still trying to get their footing in the first week doesn’t mean their season’s over.

LSU is still top of the top in the SEC, and they’ll reestablish that dominance against Mississippi State this week. Bet on LSU and get $200 in bonus bets!
