Game Analysis:
The Pats were one bad quarter away from beating Super Bowl favorites. Let’s just let that sink in Patriots fans. We have a real chance to make some real noise not just in the AFC East, but in the AFC in general. Yeah, I went there. There is nothing about this team that says we can’t beat a team like the Dolphins. Our offense played into the game and our defense looked absolutely amazing. Anytime you hold the Super Bowl runner-ups to just 25 points, you’re doing something right. Yes, the Dolphins had a good offensive week one, but Tua, historically has not looked good against the Pats. Give me New England in this one.
The Miami Dolphins had a great first week of football. Everyone was raving about how great Tyreek Hill was, and how amazing Jaylen Waddle looked, and how Tua looked like he might not be one sack away from dying. They must’ve won by like 21 points right? No? Ok well, at least two scores? Not even two scores? Alright well then they won by a touchdown against the Chargers….you’re kidding. They won by two? Only two points? Yes, I know the Chargers have a great attack, especially through the air, but still, if your offense plays that well then you should be winning by more than two points. I expect the Pats to win a game that that’s close.
The Patriots looked really good against one of the best teams in football. Even though they came out to a rocky start, they turned it on and by the end of the game, they were looking like the better team by a real margin. Now am I saying this iteration of the Patriots is better than the Eagles? No, I’m not insane, but we’re definitely better than the Dolphins. Christian Gonzalez is gonna put the world on notice this upcoming week when he makes either Waddle or Hill look straight-up silly. Kendrick Bourne also seems to be panning out even better than many Patriots fans could’ve ever hoped as he hauled in two touchdown grabs last week. And my goodness is Matthew Judon a beast.
