Game Analysis:
It’s almost time for NBA regular season, and I am fired up! In their first game, the Brooklyn Nets are playing host to the Clevland Cavaliers in what should be an electric start to the season. Here is what you should know so you can make the most out of this sweet offer from our friends at BetMGM.
Well looks like it is back to full rebuild mode for the Nets. Kyrie, KD, and Harden are all gone and it’s time to turn those picks and young players back into a playoff team. Ben Simmons is expected to actually play, rare, I know! Mikal Bridges is a solid player, as is Spencer Dinwiddie. The Nets have played fairly well over the span of the preseason going 2-2 with a fairly middle of the road offensive and defensive rating. They are a very good three point shooting team which is a very important thing in today’s league. Will this combined with the home court advantage prove to be enough to upset the Cavaliers and give their postseason aspirations a reality check right off the bat?
I don’t think so. Despite their preseason struggles, we need to remember that this is just the preseason and oftentimes performance is not reflective of how the regular season will go. The Cavs are on paper the much better team, with players like Donovan Mitchell, Allen, Garland, LeVert, Mobley, and Strus. Right now they have the number one defensive rating in the entire NBA, as well as the 8th overall offensive rating. They are more well balanced than Livvy Dunne on the beam, and should absolutely be able to find a way to win this game against a Nets team who is in the middle of a rebuild after losing three superstars. I like the Cavs here.
