Game Analysis:

This inter-conference matchup is about to be a beatdown of epic proportions. Tulane hasn’t lost a conference game yet. They also have only lost one game this entire season and are ranked in the top 22 teams of college football. Meanwhile, Rice hasn’t won more than two games in a row this entire season which sees them at a record of 4 and 3. Don’t shoot the messenger Rice fans, but this could get uglier than a rugby match in the mud.

The Rice Owls are not in the same class of football team as Tulane. They are the only team to have lost to UConn this year. And I mean only. UConn couldn’t even beat Georgia State or FIU. That’s like me trying to tell you a team that lost to the Cardinals this year will beat the Niners. I’m looking at you Cowboys fans. The one thing that this team does have going for it is McCaffrey DNA on the roster. Luke McCaffrey is the younger brother of Christian and seems to be quite a talented athlete. He currently has 613 receiving yards and 7 touchdowns on the season on a team as terrible as Rice. That’s pretty impressive.

Tulane is an all-around better team though. This ranked team is going to take the time to remind Rice why they are a ranked team. They have only lost to Ole Miss so far, and that skill discrepancy is going to be on display this weekend. Tulane’s runningback Makhi Hughes has been running like someone sets a fire on the backside of his shorts every game. He has more rushing yards this season than Rice’s best receiver has receiving yards. That is not an easy feat. Not to mention the mobility threat of quarterback Michael Pratt himself who has already run for almost 200 yards and three touchdowns of his own this year.

Tulane is a better team than Rice so don’t over think this one. Bet on Tulane & Get A Shirt From The Friday Beers Store On Us!
