Game Analysis:
Week 10 of college football is here and I couldn’t be more excited. Tennessee hosts the University of Connecticut Huskies this week, and are looking for a statement win. UConn is not currently ranked with their record of 1-7, and after last week’s win over Kentucky, Tennessee is ranked 19th in the nation. Going based off of ranks I think Tennessee is going to take this game and keep their season alive.
So UConn has struggled this year. They hover around 200th on both offense and defense, but were able to get a win against Rice a couple of weeks ago. Roberson has been alright at QB with 8 touchdowns and 3 picks, but a lot of Connecticut’s production has come from their robust run game where three different players have at least two rushing touchdowns. Three receivers have over 300 yards which is solid, but the Huskies have no clear cut WR 1 and have suffered as a result of that in my opinion. This game might be a little closer than people expect, but I can’t in good conscious tell you I think UConn has a shot to win this one.
Now despite their two losses, Tennessee is still ranked at a respectable 19. Their defense leaves a little something to be desired, but offensively this is one of the upper echelon teams in college football. They’re top 37 in overall yards per game, 17th in rushing yards per game, and tied 44th for overall points scored per game with 31.8. Woof. Joe Milton has looked really good, with 17 total touchdowns and only four picks thrown. Seven different players have triple-digit receiving yards, and eight different players have found the end zone through the air. The run game is also strong led by Jaylen Wright, but Joe Milton has some scrambling ability of his own! I think the Vols should be able to handle this one for sure.
Anything could happen, but like I said I couldn’t in good faith tell you I thought the Huskies have a real shot to win this one. Give me the Vols.
Always bet responsibly!
