Man what an excellent card headlined by one of the most entertaining fighters in the UFC today. Suga Sean is taking on Marlon Vera to defend his belt in what should be an exciting bout. Let’s check out the tale of the tape.

Marlon Vera is a solid fighter with a record of 23-8-1. While Sean has him in height, Vera walks around a little heavier and is a more experienced fighter. Marlon averages more takedowns and submissions and has been very solid recently with a record of 4-1 in his last five fights. Sean’s only loss has come at the hands of Vera, some history that Sean likes to pretend did not happen. Will he be able to recreate this performance in 2024? Not if Sean has anything to say about it.

Sean O’Malley is one of the most interesting and exciting fighters we have the pleasure of watching these days. At five foot eleven, Sean has a height advantage over a lot of people in his division, and he takes advantage of it. He has not lost since 2020 and has had some very impressive victories in the meantime. Sean also has the advantage in reach, lands more significant strikes a minute, is more accurate with those strikes, and is more accurate with his takedowns. I think Sean should get his revenge in this one, but it might be a close one.
