Ladies and gentlemen, it’s April but let’s not forget about the great sport of hockey. The playoffs approach and as teams jostle for position we have a fantastic matchup between the Canes and Bruins. Let’s break it down.
This should be a great game. The Bruins have been solid all year (except in overtime) and come into this game 46-17-15 and first in the Atlantic division. On offense they are good, scoring 3.27 goals a game which puts them just inside the top ten. Now they excel on defense only letting up 2.67 goals a game which is good for 5th in the league. The goalie tandem of Ullmark and Swayman has been unreal, and Pasta continues to be one of the best players in the NHL. Will that be enough to take out the Canes?
If you ask me I would say probably not. The Hurricanes are 49-22-7 and second in the division. On paper a much better team. They’re 8th in the league scoring 3.35 goals a game and 3rd in the league on defense only letting up 2.56 goals a game. Aho has been absolutely unreal and the Canes’ supporting cast has done a fantastic job helping him and getting wins. Give me the Hurricanes to win this one.
