We have had the pleasure of some unreal UFC cards these past few months, and it looks like that trend should continue! This weekend is UFC 302, a card stacked with bangers. A casual might not recognize some of these names, but trust me, I think there will be some fireworks on Saturday night. Here is what you should know.
So everyone should know the last three fights should be bangers, I’ll talk about the headliner in a bit but let’s talk about the undercard for a few minutes. A 4-0 Almeida is taking on a more experienced 12-3 Kopylov in a fight Vegas thinks should be very close. I agree, and while I think Almeida should win, there might be some value on the more experienced fighter, especially at +100 odds. Any Andre Lima fight should be fun, and the first prelim fight is between the 8-0 Brazilian and a 9-1 American, Raposo. I think that will be a great way to kick off this card. Get it… Kick!! Alright now on to the main event.
Man, this is a big fight. The last three fights are all great, looking for big performances from Strickland and Holland, but it all comes down to Diamond Dustin Poirier. As a huge underdog, he already has proven his mettle as a fighter, with two wins against McGregor, and wins against Michael Chandler and Justin Gaethje. This might just be his biggest task yet. Islam has only lost one fight, and has a bit of a height advantage. Dustin has the entire country rallying around him, and I would love for him to win. There might be some value on him, especially at these crazy odds but I would not hold your breath relying on him winning. A sprinkle could be fun, but let’s not get crazy!
Always bet responsibly!
