It’s a battle between two last-place teams in their division, as the Cincinnati Bengals travel to Arizona to take on the Cardinals. Both of these teams are 1-3 but after this week one of them will be a step closer to .500. Here is what you should know to make the most out of this sweet offer from our partner sportsbook.
In the absence of Kyler Murray, Josh Dobbs has looked fairly serviceable. He’s thrown for over 800 yards, four touchdowns, and zero picks. All this has been done with, in my opinion, much less explosiveness on offense than Joe Burrow and the Bengals have. Hollywood Brown leads the team with 239 receiving yards followed closely by Michael Wilson who has 237. Each of them has a pair of touchdowns as well. James Conner has also been very productive, averaging 5.1 yards a carry and 79.5 yards a game with two scores of his own. The Bengals do have a slightly better defense but the second-to-last offense only scoring an average of 12.3 points a game. Wow, that’s really bad. Will the Arizona offense be able to outpace the Bengals and stay ahead even though their defense is a bit worse?
Honestly, I’m not sure. I could see this game go either way, it pretty much all relies on how Joe Burrow plays. Through the first handful of games, it is quite obvious that Joe Sheisty is playing hurt and is nowhere near 100% healthy. The Bengals are dead last in average yards of offense per game but still were able to beat the Rams in a rematch of Super Bowl 56. Ja’Marr Chase has still been able to be effective closing in on 300 receiving yards but is yet to find the endzone. Joe Mixon has shouldered a lot of the offensive load rushing so far for 247 yards and a score of his own on an average of 4.2 yards per carry. The defense has been a stronger point than the offense and is 18th in the league in points allowed with 23.5 compared to the Cardinals who let up 25.5. If Joe Burrow plays a bit healthier I think this is the Bengals game to lose, but if the trend of Joe struggling continues the Cardinals might be able to notch their second win of the season and really make Bengals fans hit the panic button.
