Game Analysis:

If you were a Celtics fan you would be feeling great about this matchup. The Celtics were supposed to roll through the Hawks, be pretty well-rested for the second round, and play a team that they have not had too much trouble against in the regular season. Instead, the 76ers rolled through the Nets in four, the Celtics series went six, and now I believe that it is anyone’s series.

Wow what a win for the Embiid-less 76ers. They looked great, mounting several comebacks, keeping the game close when it counted, and finishing strong down the stretch. James Harden notched his career high playoff points with 45, and was able to outduel a hot Jayson Tatum who had 39 of his own. Despite shooting 51% from the field compared to the Celtics who shot 59%, the Sixers three point barrage proved to be too much for a solid Boston defense. Tyrese Maxey also had a night with 26 points, and Tobias Harries and De’Anthony Melton combined for another 35. This team did not miss a single free throw, and looked scarily consistent on both sides of the ball. Turnovers really killed the Cs, as Philly had double digit steals allowing for a lot of points off turnovers, especially down the stretch. Despite all odds, this team was able to beat the title favorites at home without the MVP of the league. Fan or not, that is an impressive feat.

Now the Celtics I think should still be able to win this series, they’re the favorite to hoist the Larry O’Brien trophy for a reason. There were a lot of positives to take out of that loss, and call me crazy but I think Boston matches up better with Philly when Embiid is healthy. Tatum looked pretty solid, Brown scores 23 points on only 10 field goal attempts, and Sixth Man of the Year Malcolm Brogdon provided a spark off the bench as usual. I mean, this series is still expected to go to the Celtics, as they’re -190 favorites even after losing game one at home. Both of the Williams, both Rob and Grant, need more minutes especially once Joel comes back. I love this team and I love their chances in game two just like Vegas does. Look for the Celtics to bounce back in a big way here.

These are the two best teams left in the Eastern Conference so naturally this game will be unreal. Bet on either team and get $100 in bonus bets instantly!
