Alright ladies and gentlemen, we did it. We made it to March, and y’all know what that means. Things are about to get bananas. As much as upsets are a part of the season, I’m not so sure this game will be joining in those festivities. I’m a big fan of Dayton in this one. 

Nevada has been a solid team all throughout this season. They may not have won their conference but they have been winning plenty of games. Throughout this season they’ve beaten three of the four top 25 opponents they’ve faced. Accumulating wins against the likes of Utah State, San Diego State, and Colorado State. In terms of individual brilliance, Jarod Lucas has been balling with 17.8 points per game and shooting around 40% from three. He’s not the only one on his team with a ppg of 10+ either, so be careful, this team has got some powder kegs ready to blow.

Dayton, however, is a better team. They’ve been one of the best three-point shooting teams in the NCAA this year. They’ve been top 25 in the nation in three-point field goals per game, and top three in three-point field goal efficiency. If you let this team shoot, they will shoot. Everywhere, all the time, and at insane efficiencies. Oh, and if we do wanna talk about individuals setting the tone then I’d be stupid not to mention DaRon Holmes II. He’s been averaging 20.4 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks per game. Do not, and I repeat, do not let this man get going.
