Game Analysis:
Does anyone else crave SEC games? No, just me? Well, if you do, then you’re in for an absolute banger this weekend. Florida and Georgia are set to face off in what could be Georgia’s toughest game of the season so far. While they are technically the better team, this is the first time they’ll be playing an SEC team that is above .500 in inter-conference games. Who knows what kind of energy the Gators could bring to this matchup? If Georgia doesn’t bring their A-game there is a real chance Florida walk out with the dub on this one.
The Florida Gators are 3-1 in the SEC. They’ve already beaten the likes of Tennessee, South Carolina, and Vanderbilt this season, the final two teams being back-to-back wins heading into this weekend. This team has already shown they can hang with anyone in their conference so why shouldn’t they be Georgia’s first loss? Graham Mertz is simply not talked about enough, the guy is doing everything he can to win his team football games. He’s already thrown for almost 2,000 yards, thrown for twelve touchdowns, and rushed in two. His number one option is also coming into this game firing on all cylinders. Ricky Pearsall has had a monster start to the year with 619 yards to go with three touchdowns. The Bulldogs better gameplan for these two.
The Bulldogs are the overdogs for a reason though. This team hasn’t lost yet, and I know I’ll like a broken but just take a slight gander at who they’ve played. Kentucky, 2-2 conference record. Auburn, 0-4 conference record. Even the out-of-conference teams they’ve played haven’t been that good. This Florida team could be a shock to the system in the worst possible way for these Bulldogs if they aren’t careful. Having said all that, they do still have one of the best teams in the league, behind one of the best Tight-End prospects since, well, who knows when. Brock Bowers cannot be denied this season, so the Gators better buy a brick wall to put around their endzone.
Both of these teams are great SEC teams, so I wouldn’t be surprised if either team won. Bet on either team & Get A Shirt From The Friday Beers Store On Us!
