Game Analysis:

The fact that I have survived these past several months without my Sundays consisting of a few beers and wings with my friends and the TV on football from noon to night is a minor miracle. Scratch that it’s a major miracle. This week has been dragging by as I not-so-patiently wait for my favorite thing to start up again. As football fans, it’s even more of our lucky week when we look at the slate for week one and see that there is already a divisional rivalry matchup slated to happen. The Giants against the Cowboys is always an instant classic every year, full of stars both in attendance and on the field. This year that matchup consists of Dak Prescott’s Cowboys going up against Danny Dime’s Giants, and honestly, I’m much more excited about this Giants team. Daboll? Fully convinced after the first year. Daniel? Good enough to warrant a big contract under his so far elite Head Coach. The team? As hungry as ever. Meanwhile, Jerry Jones is trading for Trey Lance and sabotaging his starting QB’s confidence. That’s not a great look for America’s team. I like the looks of the Giants in this matchup.

The Cowboys are definitely a team to be reckoned with this season. Whatever Dak Prescott’s shortcomings in the playoffs are he proves his worth in the regular season and that is when this game is being played. I also am in love with this defense. Micah Parson’s is the real deal. But you don’t need me to tell you that, that’s what every analyst has been saying since the man first entered the league. Just don’t ask him too many questions about his time at Penn State. I also like Tryevon Diggs, he’s a great cornerback, the only issue with his though is if he doesn’t pick that ball off when he goes for it, the other team is scoring a touchdown. And it’s not great when your top cornerback is boom or bust. One thing I don’t love is Jerry Jones trading for Trey Lance. Yeah, he might be good in a few years after some guidance from Dak, but when you don’t tell your head coach or your starting quarterback that you’re making a trade for a guy who was an expensive first-round pick just a few years ago that sends a bad message. I think there may be some discord in Dallas heading into week one.

The Giants have never looked better. And I mean that almost literally. The last time I was this excited for a Giants game Eli Manning was in his prime robbing the GOAT of two Super Bowls. This team also has an elite defense. Whether you’re talking about Dexter Lawrence, Kayvon Thibodeaux, or Leonard Williams. All these guys are elite-level defenders at their positions and are going to cause problems for the Cowboy’s offensive line.  And I hate to say it but Darren Waller and Daniel Jones combination passes may be deadly this year. I’m buying a whole lot of Waller stock in fantasy. (Oh and they have an elite RB, don’t wanna forget to mention that).

This is going to be an amazing rivalry match, but I think the Giants come out on top. So bet on them & get $200 in bonus bets!
