Alright folks, we did it. We have finally made it to the greatest NCAA tourney. This is for all the marbles. This is what teams have played for the whole year. This is do or die. And I for one, simply can’t wait. Round one was amazing, but can Illinois keep it going into the round of 32? Let’s get into it!

These boys have been on a roll entering this tournament. They have only lost one of their last eight games, and that was against one of the top-rated seeds in this tournament. After winning the Big Ten this team will be looking to swing their momentum towards the real prize. Terrance Shannon Jr. has been an absolute monster on the offensive side of the ball this year. He’s scoring 23 points per game on his own this year which puts him as the third-highest scorer in the NCAA this year. I would say he is a one-man army, but three other players are averaging double digits in points. This is a team ready to make a run. After a shaky first half, Illinois turned up the energy and ended up with a convincing win against a tough opponent. Duquense has looked good this year at times, but on paper Illinois is the much better team and that is reflected in the odds from Vegas. Give me Illinois in this one.
