Wow. Just wow. I don’t know if there are words to describe this series’s up to this point. This year has had some of the best first round matchups I’ve seen in a while, and the best out of all of these has been Kings vs Warriors. Geez the warriors can turn it on when they want to. In the regular season and coming in to the playoffs, I was laughing about this team thinking they would not be able to even win two games against the young and hungry Kings. Curry decided to prove me wrong. He has been gross this series, averaging over 30 points with 4.3 rebounds and almost 5 assists. Draymond while controversial, has been an important piece and an anchor defensively. Klay Thompson has decided to turn it on and this postseason is averaging over 21 points of his own. Steve Kerr is one of the best coaches of all time, and when you surround him with some of the best shooters of all time, and some lockdown defenders combined with young studs like Poole and Wiggins, you have a scary team. The scary thing is game seven is on the road and the Warriors has been notoriously awful
Now the Kings almost choked this year away. After winning the first two handedly this series looked almost over, but the Dubs clawed their way back in, but the Kings won one on the road to force one last game. De’Aaron Fox has been amazing with almost 30 average points in this series, Malik Monk has almost 20, and Sabonis is averaging over 15. This team is so young and so well coached, but people are forgetting how long it has been since the Kings have been this competitive. They have an opportunity to win the first playoff series since the 03-03 season, and honestly I think they might just pull it off. I love how this team can turn it on and the speed at which they play. The Warriors are old and tired and I think the Kings will run their show.
