Week 6 of the college football season brings us a big ten matchup of undefeated teams, as the Maryland Terrapins visit the 4th ranked Ohio State Buckeyes in Columbus. Maryland comes into this game 5-0, and while their schedule has not been the toughest, they’ve still won every game by at least 18 points. The Buckeyes on the other hand come in 4-0 following a bye week, after an emotional last second win at Notre Dame in their last game. At the end of the day, only one of these teams can remain undefeated after this week, so let’s jump into the breakdowns.

Let’s start by taking a look at the visiting Maryland Terrapins, who come in unranked, but would definitely change that with an upset win. They are led by QB Taulia Tagovailoa, who has shined so far this season. Last week was the cherry on top for him up to this point, as he torched Indiana for 352 yards and 5 passing touchdowns in a blowout 44-17 home win. The rushing attack combined for over 100 yards between RBs Roman Hemby and Antwain Littleton. WRs Tai Felton and Jeshaun Jones each had big days totaling over 100 receiving yards. The defense limited Indiana to just several 4th quarter garbage time touchdowns. This team has a lot of momentum right now, and they’re hoping it will lead them to a massive win.

However, taking on the Ohio State Buckeyes is never easy, especially at Buckeye Stadium. They will have to reset following a wild game at Notre Dame in which they led 10-0 early in the second half, but found themselves down 14-10 with one final drive. QB Kyle McCord made some critical throws on the last drive to march the Buckeyes down the field, and RB Chip Trayanum was able to finish the drive off with a 1 yard touchdown rush on what would end up being the last play of the game. Head Coach Ryan Day gave an emotional interview following the win, and he has his team believing right now, so I’m not going to bet against the Buckeyes. I think the Buckeyes finally slow down the Terrapins, and come away with a big win.
