When looking at this game title you would think Miami as in the Hurricanes but you would be wrong. Miami Ohio, the greatest summer vacation destination. This week the Miami Redhawks will be playing The Cincinnati Bearcats in Cincinnati. This game will be a battle of who runs Ohio except for Ohio State obviously. Hopefully, this game isn’t an absolute beat down from Cincinnati.
The Miami Redhawks are 1-1 right now after playing University of Miami and UMass. The Redhawks got killed by the Hurricanes losing 38-3 but beat UMass 41-28. Their quarterback, Brett Gabbert, went 12/22 with passing attempts and had 302 yards with 4 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. Brett Gabbert put up some crazy numbers in this game so maybe he will come out against the Bearcats and have another game with multiple touchdowns.
The Bearcats are favored to win this game. The Bearcats have a 2-0 record going into this game while beating the brakes off of Eastern Kentucky in their season opener winning 66-13 and their second win is against Pittsburgh winning 27-21. I have a feeling that this game against the Redhawks is going to be something similar to Cincinnati’s game against Eastern Kentucky. Emory Jones, quarterback for the Bearcats, had a record-breaking game against Eastern Kentucky. He went 19/23 with pass attempts and had 345 yards and 5 touchdowns. He was doing so well that they put the second-string quarterback in to save him for the next game. Emory Jones might have another historic game against the Redhawks.
This game is to keep the hopes up for Cincinnati before they go into their big game against Ohio State next week. I am guessing this game is to keep the morale high after coming off 2 big wins and hoping they can at least compete against the Buckeyes. The Redhawks have a really good quarterback, but I don’t believe that this will be enough to stop the Bearcats from blowing them out of the water.
