Number 2 seed Michigan kicks off their season with a game that might be a slaughter house. Last season East Carolina had a whopping 8 wins which is the most wins they have had since 2014. Michigan’s team lead by head coach Jim Harbaugh, (other than a three game suspension) will come out strong.
The University of Michigan, otherwise known as the Michigan Wolverines, holds a very prestigious D1 football team. Their program is no joke and The Michigan Wolverines’ iconic winged helmet and maize-and-blue color scheme are instantly recognizable to fans across the nation. JJ McCarthy started off slow last year but ended the season with a bang. He had 767 yards and 8 touchdowns in his last 3 games of the season. Despite having 2 of his top receivers leave last season, McCarthy still has 4 core receivers.
East Carolina University is definitely going to have a rude awakening for them on their season opener. They are led by Mike Houston, in his 5th year as the head coach, and they will be playing at Michigan against one of college football’s toughest teams. Despite them facing one of the toughest teams and Michigan having aspirations to be natty champions, I don’t think The Pirates will back down without giving up a fight. Although the spread has Michigan favored by -36, it is safe to say that they won’t back down.
Although with Jim Harbaugh’s 3 game suspension, it is safe to say that the national champion contenders will put up insane amounts of numbers against East Carolina. Betting Michigan moneyline looks like a lock. Don’t be surprised if The Pirates stay in the game for a couple of quarters but this season opener for them is not looking good.
