Oh yeah, this is gonna be a very close game where two teams that won in week one go head-to-head to see who can stay undefeated. SIKE! The Michigan Wolverines just won without their OC and HC. Do you think UNLV is gonna stop them when their Offensive Coordinator comes back? Yea, no way. This Michigan team has got something to prove this year, and that won’t happen if they lose to UNLV. Expect them to do what they did to East Carolina and leave no room for doubt as to who has the best chance of making the postseason. I like the spread, I like the Wolverines to win it, I like it all.
UNLV had a great game one. They beat Bryant 44 to 14 in an absolute beatdown. But let’s just read that one more time; they beat Bryant. They’re not coming into this game off of a crazy upset and they’re not coached by Coach Prime. This team is going to be outmatched and outplayed by a simply better team and better program. But it’s not all doom and gloom for UNLV. Doug Brumfield managed to look solid even while throwing more interceptions than touchdowns, and his backup Jayden Maiava looked even better, having a rating 32.7 points higher than Brumfield’s. And like I said, they won this game by a lot, they are definitely not a team that Michigan can take lightly, but Michigan isn’t taking anything or anyone lightly these days with the amount of scrutiny they’ve been under to start the season.
The Michigan Wolverines are going to win this game. They have a fire lit under them that they haven’t had in a long time; being forced to exile their head coach for the first three games of the season and their offensive coordinator for the last game. With their offensive coordinator back, they’re going to look even better against a team that they frankly outclass. Michigan let up zero points the entire game last week barring the very last drive of the game by Eastern Carolina where the backups to the backups were playing. JJ McCarthy looks like an absolute beast to start the season, only missing four of his 30 passes. His accuracy allowed him to accumulate 280 passing yards and three touchdowns. All three of those touchdowns went to Roman Wilson who also looked like an absolute problem in week one. Between him and Cornelius Johnson, I fear for UNLV’s cornerbacks.
