Game Analysis:

Man oh man has this been such an electric college football season, and it’s about to get even more crazy. Texas is meeting Oklahoma State in the Big 12 Championship and if they want a chance to play in the Playoffs they need to win very convincingly. Oklahoma State would love to play spoiler, and in these big games, anything can happen. Let’s break it down.

So Oklahoma State is pretty good, at least on offense. They have a top 43 offense by total yards a game, and a top 49 offense by points per game with 30.2. Defensively they have struggled a little, but the Longhorns don’t have the best defense either. They have beaten some good teams like Oklahoma, Kansas, and Kansas State, but Texas will be a different challenge, especially with how they really have their backs up against the wall. Bowman has been alright but has gotten a lot of help from his running back Ollie Gordon who has well over 1500 yards on the ground. Receivers have also been good, led by Presley and Owens, but this will still be a big challenge and the Cowboys will really need their defense to step up if they want to have a chance in this championship matchup.

Now Texas is a big favorite in this one which is a little scary, to be honest as the Cowboys have liked to play spoiler in the past. On paper, the Longhorns should have this one despite being a bit banged up. They have a better offense by both total yards and points, averaging over 4.5 more points per game on offense. Texas also has a significantly better defense allowing almost 100 fewer yards and 10 fewer points a game. Texas’ only loss this season came at the hands of Oklahoma who was beaten by Oklahoma State… If we are getting technical here by the transitive property does that mean the Cowboys should be able to wrangle the Longhorns?? Makes you think! Quinn Ewers has looked like a stud, and his supporting receiver cast of Xavier Worthy and Adonai Mitchell has been excellent. The running backs are good, the defense is very good, and I’m thinking I’ll back Texas in this one who really wants a convincing win to keep their CFP dreams alive.

Anything can happen in college football. Go with your gut because either way you GET A T-SHIRT when you bet just $10+ on either team!
