Game Analysis:

Guys… Football is actually back. The offseason always feels like forever, this year more than most but we finally have a game. Sure it’s just the Hall of Fame game but at this point I will take anything I can get. Let’s break down the Jets vs Browns so you can (responsibly) take advantage of this sweet offer from our friends at BetMGM.

Ahhh the Browns. After a disappointing first campaign from Deshaun Watson, the Browns reloaded and seem poised to have a bit more success than they did last year. They snagged former Jets wide receiver Elijah Moore, Nick Chubb is a beast, and Amari Cooper remains one of the most underrated receivers in the league according to my expert analysis. A lot of expectations are riding on the quarterback, I mean they backed up the Brinks truck to pay him so he needs to be better than he was last season. The defense is solid as well as the offense, and if they can play up to their potential they should have a good year. That all being said, this game will mostly be played by backups and the Browns are slight favorites, so Vegas thinks they should have the edge.

Now the Jets had one of the more wild offseasons out of any team in the league headlined by their signing of quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Breece Hall should be returning and Aaron brought some of his favorite players from Green Bay with him to New York. This defense has clamps last year highlighted by rookie Sauce Gardner who was a lockdown corner. The coaching staff was also rejuvenated and the Jets look like they’re primed to make a deep run this season. Again this is an exhibition game so starters likely won’t play much, leaving this game pretty much up to interpretation. The Jets are solid and they’re at plus money so I’m leaning towards taking them to win and the over to hit.
