After a wonderful regular season with gems like the in-season tournament and a great all-star weekend, it is time for the NBA playoffs! We have an electric first round series between the Cavaliers of Clevland and the Orlando Magic. Here is what you should know.

Man, it seems like the rebuild is paying off. After a 47-35 season, the Orlando Magic not only have a great social media presence but finished 5th in the East. While they struggle at times on offense, they are absolutely clamps with a 112.2 defensive rating that is good for second in the league. They were able to win their last regular season matchup against the Cavs, and are slight home favorites in this next matchup. Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner lead scoring backed up by a great young deep roster like Cole Anthony and Mo Wagner. After struggling in the first two games in Cleveland, the first game back in Orlando was huge for the Magic. Almost winning by 40 points, the Magic really needed this type of bounce back if they want to compete. Both Paolo and Suggs looked unreal and the role players also stepped up when they were needed. Will this home court dominance continue?

Honestly, this one could go either way but Vegas thinks the Cavs might struggle in game four as well. At fourth in the East with a 48-34 record, this team from Clevland is hungry for a run. While also defensively minded, the Cavs do have a better offense than the Magic which is a nice advantage to have. Mitchell has been gross and seems to not be bothered by an injury, so the scoring load will still be balanced between him, Garland, Allen, and Mobley. This team is also so young and with a very deep roster, I foresee a great and entertaining series with the Cavs continuing to perform well. The Cavs really did struggle in this one but I don’t think they will continue to shoot as poorly as they did in game three. This might be a good wakeup call and I am interested to see how Cleveland bounces back from this loss.
