Game Analysis:

As the hunt for playoff spots heats up, we have an NL central matchup to watch featuring the first place Milwaukee Brewers and the Chicago Cubs. Here is what you should know about a very important series so you can make the most out of this sweet offer from our friends at BetMGM.

Wow the Brewers are pretty quietly having a very good year. They have the third most wins in the entire National League and are currently at the time of writing on an eight game winning streak. While their offense is in the bottom half of the league, they have a top ten defense mostly thanks to their bullpen. They’re tied for the second lowest batting average allowed, with their opponents only hitting at a .233 clip. Christian Yelich is having a bounceback year and William Contreras has been a stud this year. Now the pitching staff has really been what has won them so many games. Corbin Burnes is so good, as are Freddy Peralta, Wade Miley, and Bryse Wilson. Will this defense and offensive leaders be enough to beat the Cubs in Chicago?

If you ask me I would say no. The Brewers are red hot right now but that has to end at some point. While the Cubs have struggled a bit defensively, their offense is miles better then the Brewers as they’re top five in the league in runs scored per game. This offense is more electric than when I tried to get my microwaved waffle out with a fork, and that has more than made up for a bad defense. Cody Bellinger, despite constantly being higher than kite, is absolutely raking hitting at over a .320 clip. Nico Hoerner has also been a stud, as have Candelario and Suzuki. Yeah the pitching is rough, but Justin Steele has been so gross, 14-3 with a 2.8 ERA. Overall I think this team should be able to cool off the red hot Brewers and get closer to taking over the division.

The Cubs are the better team, but anything can happen in baseball. Bet on either team and get your own Friday Beers merch!
