Game Analysis:

Ladies and Gentlemen… Start your engines!! The most anticipated race of the Indycar season is upon us and as always Indianapolis Motor Speedway is going to be rocking come May 28th. I’m here to break it all down from a betting standpoint, so here is what you should know to responsibly make the most out of this sweet offer from BetMGM and Friday Beers.

So first overall I think we should talk about trying to find some value on an overall winner. Just like so many sports momentum and recent performances are super important, which is why I like to look back on previous races and practice runs. Right now the favorite to win this weekend is Alex Palou, and for good reason. He comes into this race at the top of the Indycar Championship standings, and had a record setting qualifying run. In five races this guy has four top fives, and also during his qualifying for the Indy 500 had an average lap speed of 234.217 miles per hour, which set a record for the fastest ever recorded in qualifying for this race. He’s looking like a safe top five bet with value on taking him straight up. +105 to finish top five, and +600 to win the whole damn thing.

Now kind of piggybacking off of how I think Palou will do in this race, I think his team will clean up. Two of their four racers are in the top three odds to outright win, and I think Chip Ganassi Racing at +180 is a great pick. Scott Dixon is that other top three driver, who has two top fives and two top tens already this season, and is a veteran of Indy. In his previous showings he finishes in the top 5 40% of the time and top 10 60% of the time. Those two alone are a dangerous combo, and throw in the points from the other two drivers, Marcus Ericsson and Marcus Armstrong, and I think Chip Ganassi has a great chance to take home the team victory.

These are my picks, remember to tail at your own risk and always always gamble responsibly. Never wager more than you can afford to lose.
