After a wonderful regular season with gems like the in-season tournament and a great all-star weekend, it is time for the NBA playoffs! We have an electric Western Conference Finals between the Mavericks of Dallas and the Minnesota Timberwolves. Here is what you should know.

Well, it looks like that duo of Luka and Kyrie is paying dividends, who would have thought putting two of the best players in the league together would be such a good idea!! After a great battle with the Thunder, the Mavs came out victorious and punched their ticket to the WCF. Offensively the Mavs have the edge, averaging the 7th most points in the league and boasting the 10th highest rated offense. Luka is once again proving he is one of the best players in the league, and the one two punch of him and Kyrie is fantastic. Add some depth in like Hardaway, Gafford, and Derrick Jones, and you have a great team. Will it be enough to sweep the Timberwolves? It was in games 1, 2, and 3 as Kyrie and Luka have both been fantastic, looking unstoppable while tiring Ant out. Edwards really struggled defending Kyrie, and it might have even taken a toll on his offensive performance. It looks like despite the close games the Mavs really have the number of the TWolves. Will they be able to complete the sweep tonight and punch their ticket to the Finals against the Celtics?

If you ask me I’m just not sure yet. The Wolves are underdogs in this game, but still should compete well. While they might not have the same high powered offense that the Mavs have, everyone knows defense wins championships and the T-Wolves have the highest rated defense in the entire Association. I mean, they did just beat the defending champions after all. Ant is turning into a superstar before our very eyes, and the combo of KAT and Gobert is proving to be too much for their opponents to handle. Naz Reid is a fan favorite, Conley is still a beast, and they got Jaden McDaniels! This has been a great series with close games but the Wolves need to close them out. Obviously game four is must win, but can they? Despite Kyrie and Luka going off and Edwards having a poor shooting night, the Mavs are only winning by small margins… Will they be able to bounce back and maybe start a comeback? I would not be too surprised. Now they are in Dallas without home court, will they be able to overcome a hostile crowd and force game five?
