Game Analysis:

Man this baseball season has been good to us so far, and I can only imagine how much it will heat up heading into the fall. This week we have a great matchup between the Twins and Orioles, so here is what you should know to make the most out of this sweet offer from BetMGM, and you get a dope shirt out of it!

So I’m not going to lie, the Twins do not really score that much, only averaging 4.2 runs a game which puts them tied for 21st in the league. This could help explain their record, which is for the moment sub .500 at 40-42. Now I would propose that many of these wins could be attributed to the outstanding defense and pitching of the Twins, as they only allow 3.9 runs a game which is good enough to earn them second in the league. As a team their ERA stands at 3.70 which is fourth, they lead the league in WHIP, and they are third in batting average allowed. Carlos Correa has had a disappointing season, as had Buxton Joey Gallo, and Max Kepler. Still, they are 1st in an awful AL Central and will probably make a postseason appearance. They should be very thankful for Joe Ryan, Sonny Gray, and Bailey Ober for their sub 3.50 ERAs. Some filth from the starting pitchers combined with great defensive play has led to a semi successful season so far for the Twins.

Now the Orioles might be one of the most impressive and surprising baseball teams I have seen in a long time. They’re second place in the best division in all of sports, and currently sit 18 games above .500 at 48-30. They’re young, exciting, and extremely talented. With their 4.9 runs a game while allowing 4.5, they’ve slugged their way into contention with a top 10 team in runs, slugging, OPS, and stolen bases. While their defense and pitching are somewhat middle of the pack, they make up for it on the other side of the ball. Anthony Santander, Adley Rutschman, Austin Hayes, and five others are hitting above the .250 mark, and a lot of their other teammates are close. This is a scary team that has proven to be the real deal, I think they should be able to win this series.

The Twins are a solid baseball team, but I think the Orioles are definitely better. Bet on either team and get your own Friday Beers merch!
