Game Analysis:
The Eagles are the best or second-best team in football no matter which way you slice it. You can put them behind or ahead of the Chief’s, doesn’t matter to me, but they’re up there. And what’s exciting about this game is that the Ravens got a million miles better as well. So now we get to see a top AFC and NFC team go head-to-head in the first weekend of preseason. What is this, Christmas? My birthday? Someone pinch me. Actually, wait, don’t because I wanna see this game. This is going to be a star-studded, touchdown-ridden, and highlight-reel-filled game. Get your popcorn and other snacks ready because this is going to be an all-time preseason matchup.
The Baltimore Ravens have gotten much better in the offseason. First of all, they finally got their heads out of their butts and resigned Lamar Jackson. That was step one and they did it, so good on them. He is one of the best QBs in the game right now so if they lost him this wouldn’t even be a conversation. Now let’s shift to their receiver room. Rashod Bateman should be headed into the season with full health. They drafted one of the best receivers in the draft Zay Flowers. And they added OBJ who, the last time I saw him play football, was winning a Super Bowl with the Rams. That’s three receivers who any team would love to have. On top of that, they’ve got two solid runningbacks (when healthy), the second-best tight end in the league, and a very solid defense. This team has very few holes and normally I’d favor them, but they’re going up against the Eagles.
The Eagles are elite. I don’t really know what you want me to say. They have pretty much the best everything in the NFL. Offensive line? Yes. Runningback rotation? Without a doubt. Defensive line? How is that even a question? Maybe you could argue that they don’t have the best Wide Receiver room, but if they don’t then it’s at least in the top three. They’ve got a fantastic coach, they’ve made phenomenal off-season additions to a roster that was already elite, and their Conference has only gotten worse. Tell me what is not to love about the Eagles going into this football season. If they want to they can absolutely go undefeated this season. I truly believe that.
