Game Analysis:

Ladies and Gentlemen, the NBA and NHL seasons might be over, but don’t worry because we still have the chance to experience the greatest rivalry in all of sports, which happens to also be America’s pastime. Here is what you need to know about the second Red Sox vs Yankees series of this season.

Well we learned two things from this last Sox/Yanks series. Raffy Devers is absolutely the father of Gerrit Cole, and boy oh boy are the Yankees banged up. The pitching really was the only thing that kept all of the games in this series as close as it was, only 14 runs were scored in these three games with 7 of them coming from New York bats. Like I said last week, they are heavily relying on pitching during this offensive slump, and every game he is out it is made more apparent just how important to this team Aaron Judge is. Despite their struggles, this team is still very dynamic and the bats could explode at any minute. I think they win at least one game in this series.

Now the Sox after winning a series against their rivals decide to lose one to arguably the worst team in the league. Just like the Yankees their bats have gone pretty cold, but their pitching has been solid. They haven’t scored more than 6 runs in a game since the 3rd, but still have found a way to win their fair share of games. I think they should be able to win this series as well, with some of their new defensive adjustments and how their bullpen has seemed to settle in after some issues with injuries. Raffy owns this team, and with his hot bat all the Sox need to do is pitch well, and have some ducks on the pond for Devers to bring home. They might lose a game but I think Boston can take the series here.

I won’t go so far as to say that the Yanks can’t win this one, but the Sox definitely have the upper hand. You might like my picks or you might have your own, either way, gamble responsibly and get your own Friday Beers merch!
