Game Analysis:
Now hold up… The USA has life in this one. It’s not over yet and this could be a comeback similar to the Revolutionary War. Shoutout 1776. Sure we are down 5 now but crazier things have happened. Momentum is on our side and Sunday is when we play best. Let’s break it down.
First, let’s talk about hat gate. Patrick Cantlay, who is honestly playing pretty well, is refusing to wear a Team USA hat in protest to not being paid for his participation in the Ryder Cup. This is only a rumor and several players, including Cantlay, have refuted it, but Cantlay has been vocal about taking issue with not getting paid. Honestly, I agree with him. It also doesn’t hurt that he and Max Homa were electric when we needed it most, as Homa and Harman galvanized the team with our first match win, and Cantlay pushed through to win another one.
The tide has turned and after some awful performances, there really seems to be a fire lit under the Americans. We have some of the best players in the world who are known to step up when the lights are brightest and damn these lights are bright. Some of these matches are unreal like Scottie vs. Rahm to kick everything off. I genuinely think that we can win the majority of these matches if our guys play up to their abilities. Scottie has it in him to beat Rahm, and a lot of our best players are up against guys who are ranked well below them. It’ll be an early wakeup for us golf fans, and I am so ready to let my hopes get up for this USA team. It has been a wild ride and I think the ending will be just as wild.
Give me the USA baby! This should be an amazing end to a wild tournament, and if you’re interested in betting on it make sure to use the link and get $200 in bonus bets if you are a new user to MGM!
