Game Analysis:
Thank goodness basketball is back. For a while there I had to start talking to people in real life during my evenings. That was horrible. This opening night Western Conference game is about to be absolutely electrifying. Defense? Never heard of her. This game is going to be all about the three ball. The Warriors are the past at this point and this Suns team is gonna be the future. I expect a high-scoring dub for the Suns.
The Warrior’s time is up. I know we say this year after year but it’s true this time. The fact that they are hyping up the addition of 97-year-old Chris Paul tells me all I need to know about the state of this franchise. I wouldn’t be surprised if, by the trade deadline, the better pieces of this core are getting traded for draft capital for the upcoming draft. As much as I love what Klay and Steph have done together, they just are too old for this. Draymond is beyond washed at this point, and the rest of the young pieces this team has don’t impress me.
The Suns on the other hand made some bone-chilling moves this offseason. First of all, who is going to stop this team from scoring? When Bradley Beal is your third option you are going to put up points. If my third-best defender had to spend the evening trying to stop that man from scoring I’d be sweating out of every single pore. Not to mention the pieces around this elite three that the Suns added. Jusuf Nurkic is a perfectly respectable big man. He’ll be able to secure rebounds and bring them out to the three scorers. Grayson Allen is a scrappy guard who isn’t afraid to do the dirty work. And people will stay sleeping on Bol Bol.
Don’t think too hard about this one people. The Suns have the better team. Bet on Phoenix & Get A Shirt From The Friday Beers Store!
