Game Analysis:
C.J. Stroud and Bryce Young are going head-to-head. I never thought we would get this lucky during the NFL season. The first and second picks, both Quarterbacks, go against each other to see which franchise made the right choice. And honestly, both of these teams have the chance to win this game. Neither one has been absolutely breathtaking, but both have had some amazing games. I can’t wait to watch.
The Carolina Panthers do not have a record that inspires confidence, however, both their offense and defense have shown life this season, and who says the Texans can’t break their losing streak? They’ve managed to put up 24 points against the Lions, and 27 against the Seahawks in the first half of the season. Two defenses that ESPN analysts have touted as ‘elite’ with ‘DPOY candidates’ on their rosters. No one in their right mind would call this Texans defense elite, so I’d expect to see Bryce put up some crazy numbers. Adam Thielen has also been looking like he’s turned back the clock. He’s got 509 yards and four touchdowns leading Carolina’s receivers in both categories.
The Texan’s offense has also been their strength. Between C.J. Stroud looking like the answer, and the pair of Nico Collins and Tank Dell going crazy this offense is looking mighty fine. If you told me that through six games the Texans would be 3-3, their quarterback would have 1600 passing yards and they’d have several receivers with two or more touchdowns, I would have sent you to an insane asylum and never talked to you again. This team has been outplaying even what they thought was possible. And of course, I wouldn’t be talking about the Texans without bringing up Will Anderson Jr. The man could easily win DROY with the way he has been man-handling offensive linemen all year.
Both of these teams are looking to swing themselves into popularity behind top draft picks. Bet on either team & Get A Shirt From The Friday Beers Store On Us!
