Game Analysis:

It’s time for another Subway Series! Let’s break down one of the best rivalries in baseball and hopefully (responsibly) make some money. Here we go!

Wow look at the mighty Yankees all the way at the bottom of the AL East. I’ll cuz them some slack though as this is probably the most competitive division in all of sports. Despite that, the Yankees are still a very competitive team even without their star player Aaron Judge. The Mets and Yanks are perfectly tied for runs scored a game with 4.4 which is good for 18th in the MLB, and definitely below average. The Yankees do have a better defense though, highlighted by their top 10 pitching staff. Gerrit Cole has really been the only consistent starter for the Yanks, but their bullpen has been great once the starter is pulled leading to a 3.89 overall ERA. The Yankees have also been good at home while the Mets struggle on the road, and the Mets are well under .500 while the Yankees despite being at the bottom of the division are three games above .500. Can the Yankees take this series?

Let’s talk about the Mets. Despite their owner throwing bags of money at this team since he has taken over, due to unlucky injuries and consistent inconsistency from their pitching staff, the Mets have underperformed year after year despite having on paper one of the more talented rosters. Brandon Nimmo has been really good for the Mets, as has Tommy Pham. Other than that there are no healthy qualified batter on that team hitting above .250 that I am aware of. The pitching staff has been solid with 3 starters boasting sub 4 ERAs, but the Yankees have still allowed less runs and hits per game. With the Mets struggling on the road I just don’t see them being able to win this series in the Bronx. I like the Yanks here, and I’m a Sox fan.

Don’t miss responsibly wagering on a great series. Bet on The Mets vs Yankees and get your own Friday Beers merch!
