Game Analysis:

Week 8 of college football is here and we are all excited for the weekend to watch all of these matchups. UCLA is being hosted by Stanford this week and this game could be good and it could also be terrible. UCLA is ranked 25th in the nation and Stanford is unranked currently. Last week Stanford took the win over Colorado so I am sure they will come out firing in this game.

Last week UCLA lost to 12th in the nation, Oregon State, 36-24. This was not UCLA’s best game at all. Their quarterback Dante Moore went 14/33 with passing attempts, threw for 165 yards, had 1 touchdown and 3 interceptions. This wasn’t the greatest game that he has had so hopefully in this game against Stanford he can turn it around and have more touchdowns than interceptions. In this game against the Beavers, Carson Steele had a great game with 22 carries, 110 rushing yards and 1 touchdown. Hopefully UCLA can change some things around and come out with the win in this game against Stanford.

Stanford had a great game last week against Colorado and it was a high scoring and very close game in the second half. The first half Stanford was lacking and lost 29-0 against Colorado. After halftime they came out firing and won the game 46-43 in double overtime. Whatever speech the coach gave at halftime, must have been some David Goggins type of speech because this team was not the same as they were in the first half. Stanford quarterback, Ashton Daniels, had 396 passing yards and 4 touchdowns. Let’s also talk about receiver Elic Ayomanor. This guy was firing on all cylinders in this game. He had 13 receptions and 294 receiving yards, averaging 22.6 yards per reception. He also had 3 touchdowns in this game and was carrying the team on his back. If Stanford comes out in this game against UCLA like they did in the second half of the Colorado game then they are going to be contenders in this game.

This game is either going to be a blowout on UCLA’s part or it is going to be a close game and maybe an upset. Stanford’s record is 2-4 right now and UCLA is 4-2. UCLA has the better record and is the better team. UCLA doesn’t have as good of a team as they did last year but I still think that UCLA is going to take this game over Stanford.
