Game Analysis:
AAAND NOWWW! The Ultimate Fighting Championship is coming to the greatest city on earth, Boston Massachusetts and headlining the event is the fan favorite Sean O’Malley getting a title shot against the reigning champion Aljamain Sterling. Here is what you should know to make the most out of this sweet offer from our sportsbook friends.
Man is Sean a fun fighter to watch. Sure he Techhhhnically has that one loss but I kind of choose to ignore it. Overall he is 16-1 and has put together some of the most entertaining fights I’ve watched and could be considered the most entertaining fighter out of this newer generation of fighters. He’s tall and skinny standing at almost six feet tall with a 72-inch reach. This dude just breathes entertainment with his crazy tattoos and wild hairstyle, let alone his crazy knockout rate which he was won 11 of his 16 fights by knockout. He’s accurate with his significant strikes and takedowns, but with all of this being said he is still a steep underdog. Will he be able to overcome the steep odds and take a victory in Boston?
If you ask me I would say that despite me really hoping he will, it just isn’t a likely outcome. Aljamain Sterling is an absolute beast walking just a bit lighter than Sean despite being almost half a foot shorter. Sure he has two more losses than O’Malley but has already successfully defended his title three times against some seriously skilled fighters. Sean might have the advantage striking, but Sterling is much better on the ground. While Sterling does not have quite the success striking that O’Malley does, his takedown average is much better. I think he is the more well rounded fighter, and that the Suga Sean hype train will come to a bit of a halt as this is his first really big test in quite a while. Vegas and I agree that Aljamain Sterling will probably win this one.
These are two primo fighters looking to keep or gain a belt. Bet on either fighter and get your own Friday Beers merch!
