Ladies and Gentlemen. This is what it’s all about. Two teams going head-to-head who have a real chance of going deep into the dance. It’s the final regular season game before the end-of-season tournaments start up so there is all the incentive to play well. This game could honestly go either way, but I like the consistency of Tennessee, so I’ll ride with them.

Kentucky’s offense is gross. They are third in points per game heading into this matchup, and the 15th-best team in the country overall. They’re second in 3PT%, fifth in FG%, and tenth in assists per game. I don’t know what the definition of elite is, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Mirriam-Webster just had a short video of this Kentucky offense in motion. Spearheaded by Antonio Reeves, who’s been putting up a nice little 20 by himself, woe be those who come up against this team.

Remember how I just talked about how amazing the Wildcats are? Well, guess which team is the one with a strong enough defense to stop them. Yea, that’s right, the Tennessee Volunteers. Everything that I said about Kentucky’s offense is true about the Vols defense. They have an almost ten-point better defensive rating over Kentucky and have a ridiculous advantage on the glass. I hope Kentucky doesn’t miss too many shots because they will not be getting second-chance points. Plus, who doesn’t love Dalton Knecht? He’s been putting on a show this season and it’s forever a pleasure to watch.
