Now while some people might think this is a no brainer, let’s break it down a bit as I think it might be a little closer than people might expect. Here’s what you should know as the Boilermakers travel to Michigan to take on the Wolverines.
Now while Michigan has had some trouble this season, there are some positives to look at. At just under 75 points a game, they have a respectable offense that is fairly efficient. Sure, they struggle defensively at times, but this could be an upset spot. Three players average double digit points, with their leading scorer a touch over 16.5 points per game, and two more scoring more than 12. Will that be enough to beat one of the top teams in college basketball?
If you ask me, I don’t think so but I could be wrong. Purdue is ranked number three for a reason. They have a top scoring offense and are rated as the number four offense. Defensively they’re a little weaker, but still a top 100 defense. They’re healthy and hot. Edey is still a stud averaging over 23 a game, and four other Boilermakers are in double figures. Give me Purdue to go into Michigan and take the win, but it might be a touch closer than people would think.
