Two teams who are looking to punch their ticket to the dance. Who isn’t gonna love this matchup? Virginia is somehow an unranked team with only one less win than Duke. Classic propaganda from the higher-ups there. I honestly don’t see any reason why the Cavaliers can’t beat the Blue Devils in this matchup. This is a much more even game than the national rankers want you to think. I love Virginia in this one.

This Duke team, to be fair, has been pretty formidable this season. Kyle Filipowski has led the charge to their top ten rating with 16.6 points per game and 8.3 rebounds per game. And he isn’t the only one who’s been cooking for Duke. Jeremy Roach has been scoring 14.4 points per game, while the team as a whole is shooting close to 50% from the field. 

But Virginia has been just as good. Reece Beekman and Isaac McKneely have looked like a dynamic duo, like peanut butter and jelly, or like what the Warriors hoped Chris Paul and Steph Curry would be. They’re scoring a combined 26.2 points per game and 7.5 assists per game. Defensively Duke is going to need to gameplan around these two if they want any hope of winning.
