The Denver Broncos have been one of the more surprising teams this year. After a slow start to the season, dropping their first two games, the Broncos have climbed the ranks and are now viewed as one of the more dangerous teams in the NFL this season, winning five of their last seven games. Much of that success can be attributed to the play of their starting quarterback, Bo Nix, who also had a pedestrian start to the season. Coming into Week 8 of the season, Nix had only completed 121 of his last 198 pass attempts for 1,082 yards. He also has a touchdown to interception ratio of 5:5 and a less-than-ideal quarterback rating of 44.0. But as the season has matriculated, Nix’s play has improved greatly. In his last four games, the Broncos quarterback has thrown 9 touchdown passes and no interceptions. While it is highly unlikely that the Broncos will have a chance to win the division as the 12-1 Chiefs have dominated, every game counts as they want to get into a favorable position for the playoffs.

The Los Angeles Chargers have been a team on the brink over the last few seasons. But 2024 appears to be the year that they finally get over the hump. After they hired first-year head coach Jim Harbaugh, the Chargers boast a record of 8-5 and sit in second place in the AFC West. And it appears that Harbaugh has unlocked the potential of starting quarterback Justin Herbert. He is on pace to have career-highs for touchdowns and yards in a single season.

With the playoffs drawing near, every game is more pivotal.
